I must say that I am glad to NOT have received any awards this week. Not that I am ungrateful for such things, but it is a lot of work to run the award circuit. If you've been a multiple recipient, you know what I mean and you are nodding your head vigorously right now. I will be dedicating a whole blog post to the subject of awards someday and I have an idea to create my own award. You're gonna love it, especially if you get one. All I have to do is come up with the name, which is far more difficult than I imagined.
I am grateful that I have sold a puppy this week and since the lady forgot to bring cash and wrote me an out of state check, I hope that it doesn't bounce. She drove two and a half hours one way to pick it up, so I couldn't very well make her run back home for cash. There was a scripture on the check, but you and I both know that doesn't mean diddle. Note to self: add "CASH ONLY" to eBay Classifieds ad. Also, I have someone driving nearly five hours on Saturday to pick up the other dog, who will become an Alpaca guard dog. How sweet! I love my puppies. I will be sad when they're all gone, but I will be less busy until the next litter.
| This ten week old puppy towers over our full-grown mini-weenie! |
| This little girl will be all alone after this weekend - sniff, sniff! |
I want to Woo-Hoo about the fact that I had to see the woman whose rights we terminated and whose children I adopted (my husband's ex-wife) this weekend and all went well. It was a stressful decision to put ourselves and our children in that position after about 7 years of purposely keeping distance. I looked hot, so that helped, but at the cost of wearing high heels. Now my back is killing me. Still, totally worth it.
I want to Woo-Hoo that my first guest post will hit this month on www.RachelintheOC.com. I honestly couldn't be more excited to be featured by a #1 Amazon Bestselling author! I know you will be shocked, but it isn't a humor piece either (by request). Yeah, there is more to me than funny fluff, people! This piece will not be suitable for young readers or those who don't want to hear a story about a really crappy thing that happened to me in high school, so consider yourself warned.
I want to Woo-Hoo that I have some really awesome posts planned in the future. Funny ones, controversial ones, serious ones. I always love hearing your comments, so please don't hesitate to put your two cents in. I will respond to every one until I'm too famous (ha ha - wait, I was just dreaming there for a second). I just received some business cards for Everyday Underwear. Now I can just hand those out when my husband brags to people that "my wife's a writer." I love that guy. P.S. I will do a whole post about him someday too. I couldn't be more proud of him either.
And how was your week?
Wow, you have some great things on your woohoo list this week!
ReplyDeleteYour puppies are too cute! I'm sure it will be tough to see them all go, but they're so much work, I think once you get to relax a little that will definitely help.
Thumbs up for looking hot while seeing the ex! It never works out for me like that, I always end up having a bad hair day, or my skin breaks out like I'm going through puberty again. You have to love it when it goes your way though.
Can't wait to check out the guest post, I'll slip on my serious cap to prepare for it :)
Me, I'm actually woohooing right now for finding a new pair of jeans that fit. Silly, but this early 30's thing makes it hard to shop sometimes. Too old for a lot of things in the Juniors department, too young for Misses. So I'll woohoo for the simple joy of jeans that fit and look good!
I will second that jeans woo-hoo! Now that I am no longer a size 6 or 7, I hate jean shopping. It's a fabulous feeling when they look good and fit well!
ReplyDeleteWow!! Great week!
ReplyDeleteI got a temp job working at home on a project for a local company. I'm dropping off some of my handmade items at a local shop tomorrow or Friday to be consigned. I survived a whole evening with the combination of the MIL AND the stepmonster. And Friday is the male offsprings last day of school for this year. So, I guess I'm having a pretty good week too!
Niiiice!
ReplyDeleteI love the puppies. If I didn't already have four dogs I'd come get the girl. :) Have an awesome weekend.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a worthy WooHoo day, Cindy! Puppies are so adorable, wish I could take one. My Wednesday was just so boring and hump-dayish. I didn't get this post til Thursday, so it's like my Wednesday didn't really happen. Ever have those days where you wonder why you're doing what you're doing because you feel like you're spinning your wheels? Not very woohoo but a glass of wine helped. UGH. Looking forward to your ever entertaining posts!
ReplyDeleteYes, the feed timing is a problem for me. You have to set e-mails to go out at a certain time, so unless I change it every time, it doesn't hit right. Sorry about that. I'm going to try to find a solution so that it feeds immediately.
ReplyDeleteOh, and spinning wheels is a specialty for me some days. I know exactly what you mean!
Thanks, Constance! It's going to be a very busy weekend, so I'm trying not to dread it, LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe mini-weenie is adorable. I used to own one. WooHoo for everything you do!
ReplyDeleteI thank you. And mini-weenie thanks you! Hee hee.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm such a sucker for a puppy! She's adorable! We're getting another dog this summer. We want a big dog though.
ReplyDeleteMine are Great Pyrenees - large breed. They get big like St. Bernards.
ReplyDeleteReally? Is that what that adorable thing is? I totally want it now. My husband wants another German shepherd though. I have to admit my shepherd is the best dog I've ever had.
ReplyDeleteGreat Pyrenees are the first big dogs we've had and we love them to death! That's why I decided to breed them and as much as I love our mama and papa dogs, our puppies just steal my heart every time! I have two left out of this litter, but I think they might both be spoken for already. I hear people brag about their Shepherds the same way. And they probably don't shed as much. My dogs are really pretty, but oh the hair! I do a lot of brushing. Just got done with a session, matter of fact.
ReplyDeleteMy shepherd definitely sheds a lot, too. Especially this time of year. I can't keep up with the hair falling out of her. LOL
ReplyDeleteCindy I can't wait to read your guest post! Be sure to let us know when it appears. Your husband is so sweet, my hubby brags about my blog too. Your puppies are so cute!! Glad you had a great week!
ReplyDeleteLisa
Thanks, darlin'! I think I will be putting a link to it on the blog, I'm not sure yet. It will for sure be on the Everyday Underwear FB page, but might not be on my personal page. Not sure yet. It's sensitive material to some readers.
ReplyDeleteRachel is awesome, can't wait to read that post!
ReplyDeleteThe puppies are adorable! I would be horrible at getting rid of them....I'd wanna keep them all :( not logical I know...
woohooo Wednesday :) Hope this one is as good as your last....
I'm very excited about the post on Rachel's site. I will be talking about it more today on my weekly Woo-hoo if I can get to it. I am swamped! And wow, do I ever know what you mean about the puppies. I have one left and she is so sweet, I don't care how long I have to keep her.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment! I hope you have a great day too!
